Original 1st printing 5&7/8 x 7&5/8" handbill for "Psychedelic Celebration Number One",  a multi-media "happening" featuring a live appearance by LSD evangelist Dr. Timothy Leary, held at the Berkeley Community Theatre on 1/27/1967 and at Winterland in San Francisco, CA on 1/28/1967.
 
Designer unknown.  handbill is in near mint (A-) condition. a nice example of this Timothy Leary handbill from a pair of early-'67 Bay Area appearances.
 
Charles Perry details the events in his book "Haight-Ashbury- A History" (pages 128-30, 2005 softcover edition)... apparently the Bay Area psychedelic crowd did not exactly turn out in droves for these appearances.
